How to commemorate a ninth straight loss

For those who are having trouble remembering Saturday's 34-28 loss to Cal, the CSU athletic department finally has the solution.

"Fans have an opportunity to remember the day by purchasing authentic, game-used jerseys and helmets from that game," reads a CSU press release.

Personally, I can't think of a better way to celebrate a ninth-strait loss, can you?

So in case Caleb Hanie's three-turnover performance has somehow faded from your memory, thankfully you can bid on his No. 16 jersey or helmet to help remind you.Along with Hanie, helmets and jerseys are available from Kyle Bell (#34), Damon Morton (#87) Eric Sandie (#95) and Jessie Nading (#59). No love for Kory Sperry, though, who officially announced Tuesday that he will redshirt and return next year.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the helmets from Hanie and Bell drew the highest bid at $220.

Not shabby, but it pales in comparison to the current top bid for the Notre Dame VIP package fans can bid on for Oct. 20's game vs. top-ranked USC, also available through CSTV auctions.
With one day to go, the top bid was just more than a cool 10 grand.

And if that's out of your budget, then maybe some coffee mugs from the extinct-XFL's Memphis Maniax would suit you better. Bidders have until Friday to top the current price of a penny.

Good luck.
